Finally, the Farewell Party is coming!
I know it's like a lil' too late, but it's better than nothing right? ^^

Anyways, Farewell Party will be held @ band camp probably on March 14~~
We will have to perform during the Farewell ~
I think everybody must perform, not only the committees ~ ^^

We will be having an attendance chart for 2010 to ensure that all the band member will come for all the practices..Those ppl that come for the one week practice will get a sticker paste beside their name, after one month, we will accumulate the sticker and see who always come for the practices..Those who come for all practice will get something from us, i hope u all guys is not because of the prizes then u come for the practice and i hope that u guys are sincere enough to come for all the practices..

shouting & screaming & making so much noise to get the sec 1s to join band ^^

Hi!

Welcome back to school and hope you guys have a great holidays, well you guys have play enough during the holidays, so now is time to start practicing ur piece for cca open house..Band practice tmr at 3 pm, so pls remember to come for practice..And those who are not coming, tell the band major or ur Sl the reason why not coming for practice..Must come for band, as we will be preparing for the cca open house on the 16th..To be able to get as many sec 1, we have to practice and practice till perfect..So as to impress the sec 1 to join, that band is fun and interesting..Our target is 30-40 incoming sec 1, so try to get..And those who have borrow the instrument pls bring tmr and sign out the instrument..

There is concert coming up..On 6th december, the theme for the concert is cityscapes at esplanade concert hall..The theme for this is Extreme Classiques, Ms leong and Mr chow will be playing solo for the philharmonic youth wind on the 23th december at victoria concert and the theme for the next concert is Gift Of Music by the philharmonic winds on 26th december, it will be held at esplanade concert hall..If you guys wanna come for the concert please tell me, asyraf or ms leong..thanks

but, once you master the basics & you can start to play pieces, that's where the fun part comes.

We are now practicing for Junior Band Festival that will be on the month of September...

Brain Transplant
In the hospital, relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a family member lay gravely ill in the ICU. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.

"I'm afraid I am the bearer of bad news.", he said as he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. And it will cost a bomb."

The family members sat in silent as they absorbed the news. At length, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?"

The doctor quickly responded, "$2000 for a female brain, and $5000 for a male brain."

The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked.

1)) If you've received a new set of the band uniform, do return your old ones.
Mr Bala said, "the whole set costs around $100 each."

2)) If you need some necessities for your instrument or anything related to band,
like you need a new swab or smth, do tell me so that i'll add em into the shopping list.
Mr Bala said, "ask Ms Leong (& rest of band) whether there's anything else to purchase
so that we can buy them in bulk."

3)) Get your uniform problems settled out, Tailor aunty coming on wed.

So he pushed the next button, PP, with anticipation. A soft, disposable Powder Puff swung below him and dusted his bottom lightly with talc.

"Man, this is great," he thought as he reached out for the ATR button.

Yesterday, when we played the National Anthem, MAN! Was it the first time i heard us play like a BAND! wow! it had been more then a mth since i last update the blog! SORRY GUYS! as you know my computer broke down and nobody has offer any help to update the blog. so any way CNY is coming!!! WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! ytd was games day. something new for the new recruits ya! hahas. We played treasure hunt and wacko. LAST THREE GROUPS WITH INCOMPLETE LIST OF THING GET TO DO THE FORFEIT! BUTT LIPPING!!! WAHAHA! SPELLING OUT (NORTHVIEW ROCKS) WITH THEIR BUTTS!!! SO FUNNY! hmm ytd was a quite busy day too! schedule was tight. Librarians has to distribute new scores. OMG 4 NEW SCORES TO LEARN!!! AHHH!!! sectional leaders has to test the recruits for instruments again. BIG THANK YOU TO THE SLs! its quite a tough job! hmm, there are a lot of new things to learn with the BRAND new pair of instructors. now we know that in the past we are too dependent on Mr and Mrs Tan.. And the new instructors are MISS LEONG & MR KIANG(dunno spell correct ma) teehee! they are much more younger and full of power! but band is noisy during combines and ms leaong have to raise her voice and be patient with us. thank you ms leong! :) oh ya our recruits are quite cute, just like us!!! CUTE IS OUR TREND IN BAND YA!!! :X

YOYO BAND! sry committee! i have to cancel tml meeting. Many ppl dunno abt this yet and i cant get in contact with Qiuling. As i have known so far, i think she has changed her hp no? i am not sure. Although syf is over but that doesnt mean we can relax, slack and by not coming to band on time. PLEASE attend all band practises orelse a valid reason otherwise!!! many Beg-ss!!! Committee meeting nxt practise. Friday maybe no band practise. It's because no teachers are around. hmm. tml report to bandroom @ 6.45am sharp. pls give those lazy piggies a morning call. scared later late. Afternoon, report and set up b4 2.30pm. Irfan, Qaisser, River and Sares is in charge of the games for tml. There is a routine of planning the games for committee members. So start brainstorming more exciting and fun games for the band! haha! RMB the punishment of one band member today... it is counted lenient. We must do things together! THEN UNITED MA! if like one person dun wan hlp, not fair to the rest of the band. anyway things when smoothly today. nice performance guys! the national anthem was quite nice. x)

yo band! hahas. hmm. Friday band. GAMES DAY!!! but only for a short period of time. and btw thursday got band :x report to bandroom @ 3pm. Dun Be Late! parade rehearsal @ 4pm. not very sure. Inform you guys when changed.
schedule for Friday: report , setup (bandroom)- 2.30pm.
Warm ups- 2.30pm to 2.45pm
Sectionals- 2.45pm to 3.45pm
Pack up- 3.45pm to 4.00pm
Games- 4.00pm to 5.00pm (ask Mr Bala and Mrs Ho to let us go off earlier)
series of games, prizes, forfeits waiting to be told.... haha! It is a MUST to come band on Friday! wait and see. hope that it will satisfy u guys. It is supposingly to be held one month one times. so we are awaiting for more feedbacks! New piece today: spirit of the falcon. its a grade three piece, if i didnt see wrongly. x) took a peek la. early in the morning attend band... LOLS. play in front of lower sec. not good. but in parade it sound much nicer. hahas. ppl say we blow very nice. it's good news! :) nxt friday 3rd august games day. haha! i think we are planning a game cum music test. got prizes. lost de will do forfiet. sound great! btw commitee, we must get things done by the datelines we set. DUN GIVE EXCUSES BY NOT ATTENDING BAND PRACTICES. even though SYF is over but band practises still have to go on! Every band member are to attend band practise tml unless u have valid reasons and are excuse from band practise by Mr Bala and Mrs Ho. New Band rules and Punishments will be made soon. Band Prac today... Mrs Tan was here to conduct us. First, we do the breathing exercise. then follow by various warm ups until it came to a SURPRISE SEMI QUAVER Bflat MAJOR TEST!!! the results: everyone sits on the air!!! VERY TIRED AND PAIN!!! gain muscles as Mrs Tan SAID! :) the last person to finish the punishment was ZI KANG. he do x2 because he figet around. :X haha! aiyo forget to take his posture. BAND THE NEXT TEST IS ON F MAJOR SCALE!(not sure) go practice if not nidda do more squattings again. XD jyjy! btw Mr Bala wants to make new band tees!@@ those who wan pls tag the blogg!!! WAHAHA!!! todae is speech day. have loads of fun... take pictures. SOBSOB e oldies are leaving. "oldies come back often to see us!!!" even though our parade pieces sounded unglam but we manage to play our waves of revolution better. hahas. many ppl oso said that we play well. sounded nice... haha. ppl oso say tat we should deserve a better SYF results... but the judging standards are too high... NVM. by the seniors: work hard for the nxt SYF! bring bck a SILVER!!! add oil... jiayou!!! achieve greater heights! strive the best... ALL THE BEST N GOOD LUCK!
